Aftercare

Extended care begins at 1:00, we have a short lunch recess, and then ‘The Big Rest’ begins at 1:30. Families using aftercare are asked to fill out an Aftercare Questionnaire to let us know if your child needs to sleep and for how long, or just rest. We have the napping room and the resting room. Circle of Friends provides a mat, sheet, blanket and pillow for each child in the nap room and a pillow for children in the resting room. A small stuffed animal may be brought from home for those children that prefer a quiet, cuddly toy. Nap teachers sing and read chapter books to create a restful experience for your child. If parents have not arrived by 1:30, your child will be expected to lay down for rest. Please call if you are going to be late. Please do not pick-up your child between 1:45 – 2:30pm as this interferes with our sleeping children.

1:45 p.m. Rest (sleeping children are awakened around 4 p.m.)
2:30 p.m. Structured Activities > crafts 2 days a week & baking 1 day

3:30 p.m. Clean-up and Snack (provided by school)
4:00 p.m. Outside or Inside Play
5:30 p.m. Clean-up
5:45 p.m. Closed
